The River Runs Through Us' is a project by Stuart Bowditch and Ruth Philo who have worked with the people and communities along the River Stour, that flows through Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex. Over the course of a year they walked, swam and paddled up and down the river meeting many individuals and groups passionate about their landscape. Ignoring the notion of the river as a boundary, in this age where increasingly borders and divisions are drawn, the artists discovered a deeper connectedness and the primitive co-dependency that exists between people and water.
